Vintage equipment sources of the Philips 9710 driver?

Hi All
I’m considering constructing some Sonab clones. In what brands and models of speakers, radiograms, stereograms, consoles, etc. was the Philips 9710 fitted? In other words from what items could I potentially extract a pair of 9710s?

thanks

PS Please don’t respond telling me “other Sonab speakers”! 🤬

Which model you wish to clone and why?

If you heard these speakers and you like the sound so much that you can hardly live anymore without it, then I guess it makes sense to clone something that old with original vintage drivers. Othervise, it will be hard to find and expensive experiment.

Assuming you wish to clone popular OA-5 model due to its intriguing omni design, forget abot Phillips 9710 and use Visaton BG 20 instead.
Visaton has less HF extension, but its a 2-way with xo at 2,7kHz so thats not a problem.
Efficiency in midbass area is same, and Fs and Qts are a bit lower but close.
Better bass, more power handling, affordable and easy to find.

If you dont like Visaton, SB Acoustics SB20FRPC30-8 looks like really nice alternative to Philips 9710.
Fs, Qts, Vas and efficiency are very close.

It does look good. The best sound might be found at 15 degrees off-axis with a -3db octave wide filter centered around 5 kHz; the on-axis radiation would fill in the room power response which might otherwise be a bit dull because the whizzer cone is directional. At €45 this driver is a steal.
