Wiill any of these drive Infinity Kappa 8 or Kappa 9 that dip down to 1.2 ohm (K8) and 0.8 (K9) ohm? I see on Youtube those who run Kappa 9. I will run Kappa 8 and I think it does gallantly ... I just can not get together that 2200 on paper only gives 385W in 2 ohms, and 3500 gives 500W, 4 ohms, when they weigh massively, both give 90/120 Ampere, damping factor 1000. The low impedance on these occurs in the bass, where a lot of power and amplitude tend to show up.
You should find an amp rated for 2 ohms; you might even want an amp rated for 1 ohm.
This is not the standard recommendation, but a 2:1 step down transformer would probably allow using it with an 8-ohm amp. (Well: every Mac amp with autoformers does this, it's not such a fringe idea.)

The HCA2200II will do fine on the Kappa 8, it will drive the K9 as well, although I can get the current overload lights to flash, but that’s at ear splitting levels.
I have never tried but I’m sure if I wanted to I could get it to shut down or destroy the kappa, or both.😉
