Hello, would there be a way to check if the 6c33 valve is in perfect condition since there is no tube tester
With this simple test rig you can test 6C33C-B for correct cathodes emission ,
you need to have one well filtered and stiff but unregulated 120VDC/1A source ,
one slow-blow 1A fuse , one analog or digital ampermetre ,
and one 12,6VAC/3,5A or 6,3VAC /7A as fillemant supply ,
test procedure is next :
turn on filament supply and wait about 10 minutes to tube reach full cathodes temperature ,
turn on 120VDC source and measure and observe anode current , according original data sheet anode current have to be 550mA +/- 80mA for 6C33C-B tube ,
or 540mA +/-90mA for older 6C33C tube version .
