Digikey shows both in stock, though, the AD8620AR is listed as "obsolete" even though they have 100+ in stock. The AD8620ARZ is listed as an active (current production) part. You can check the data sheet, but I bet the difference is in the packaging.
So I'm thinking nothing happened. But they're impacted by the supply chain issues. No surprises there.
