Hello , my first post on this forum. If anyone thinks there is a more suitable forum please let me know.
I am trying to repair a BOSS BR-1600 mixer / recorder which has 2 defective input sockets. They are 6.35mm
pcb mount sockets and I have attached 3 pictures. I am struggling to find suitable replacement parts that have correct
number of pins ( 4) with correct alignment to fit the PCB. I have looked on all my usual parts sites without success. I have found a supplier in the US
which has the parts for $7 each but the only way they will post is via a tracked system which will cost $57! OUCH.
So I am looking for a UK supplier of a suitable part. Cannot see any manufacturers name on the sockets.
If anyone has done a similar repair or knows a UK source for this part please let me know.

Hello , thanks for above replies. PRR I have taken onboard what you say but for me the price for shipping was a bit prohibitive. If anyone wants to bear that expense then the supplier is syntaur texas and website syntaur.com .
There you can input a manufacturer and model and
it will list the parts avail. Part number is #4978.
I tried the website suggested byNaresBd but nothing similar.
I will try and meter a working socket to see what the individual pin does. Maybe I could bodge a standard 3 pin stereo jack to work.

It should normally be a mono or stereo socket, with a sense switch, mostly a bought out item.
MX is good, much better than the cheap Chinese stuff sold here.

If I still had my workshop I could scavenge several from old BOSS gear. A local-to-you music gear fixer might also have some.
In the US the distributor is CUI:

The specific part may be

CUI has a UK sales office, and many distributors:

And yes: if you find a small jack with wrong pinout, try setting it upside down with stiff wires from PCB to pins.
DigiKey has 600 of these:

Shipping choices (delivery to 10 Downing St, London, UK):
DHL Express International 3 Day(s) CPT (Duty, customs, and taxes are buyer's responsibility) $18.00
UPS Worldwide Express 3 Day(s) DDP (Duty and customs paid by Digi-Key) $18.00
FedEx International Priority 3 Day(s) CPT (Duty, customs, and taxes are buyer's responsibility) $18.00
Priority Mail Express International 10 Day(s) CPT (Duty, customs, and taxes are buyer's responsibility) $70.00
$18 UPS with taxes prepaid looks like a deal to me.
I wonder what Boris would make of this package. Maybe I should have looked-up Buckingham Palace?
