Tube line stage as headphone amp

Hello,

I have a Tubes4Hifi PC5 line stage. Would there be a way to add a headphone output or connect headphones to the output? If not and the power supply allows, I have a 12au7 headphone amp that I started to build and thought maybe I could incorporate it into the line stage.

Thanks

What's the impedance/sensitivity of headphone being used?

If it's low impedance then you'll probably want a bit more current drive - the Dynaco PAS 3 seems to use AX7s into a higher impedance input of the power amp I assume? Then why have the line stage in there (selector/volume perhaps?) if you need to have a VI current stage to drive the low impedance and give a low output impedance to the headphones.

If it's higher impedance then you may have more success but it wouldn't have the output swing that may be needed.

As 6L6 says, there does seem to be a load of output circuitry on the output of the PAS3 schematic which would need attention.

I'm 95% sure the PC5 is a Dynaco PAS 3 clone... so you couldn't drive headphones with it without some major modifications.
That is correct, it is the PAS 3 clone board. What about the possibility of pulling from the output signal and running the signal to a tube amp designed for headphones? Not sure if the gain of the line stage would affect anything.

They are 25 ohm, 91 db.
