Anyone using the 6N6P as a driver tube in a SE amp? I’m playing with it in my KT120 SE in place of a 6N23P-EV. THE 23 sounds great but the 6N6 sounds better, more lifelike. Anyone else like it?
One person here has used the 6N6P as a driver for a 300B amplifier. I think it was called the "death trap".
I use them in my hybrid parafeed line stage and was pleased with the overall result.

I use it to drive my FU13(813) SE tube amp. And now also as driver of a class d purifi 1et400a amp.And as outputstage and headamp of my shanling cd100t cd player. So i think i like them.

I run mine at 22mA, 105V. Nice little driver tube for 45/300/EL34 etc.
Also suitable to drive transformer coupled designs where a SN7 falls apart due to its higher Rp.

By lifelike it means what it says, nothing added or taken away from how it sounds in real life.
Perhaps it is of interest that there is a accurate spice model for the 6N6P.
