Separate subwoofer volume control

Separate volume control for sub amp?

Help please, this might be obvious and I may be overthinking it. I finished my Swan speaker build (loving them). Currently my setup is on my PC. I want to use the main volume on the Focusrite for the mains and the headphone volume control as a dedicated volume control for the Subwoofers.

USB > Focusrite 2i2 > Cleanbox Pro > Dayton SA1000 ( Bass AMP) > Nad 326bee (Main Amp)

The Focusrite has a separate volume control for the 1/4" dedicated headphone jack. The signal is full range though. What piece of gear do I need to strip down the full range 1/4" signal to an LFE or subwoofer amp signal (RCA preferably)?

The Dayton SA1000 has an adjustable low pass filter built in so can be connected to a full range signal.
I fail to see why you would want to adjust the volume separately from the main output, it's seems inconvenient to have to adjust both gains every time you want to change the system volume. you can still adjust the gain on the Dayton when you want that extra bass boost for whatever.

From the Dayton manual
3. Frequency
Adjusts the low-pass crossover frequency from 30 Hz to
200 Hz. When using the Left/Right inputs, this adjustment
will allow you to properly integrate the subwoofer with the
satellite or main speakers. It is recommended to experiment
with different settings until the smoothest transition between
subwoofer and speakers is achieved.

The Dayton amp has only a fixed high pass frequency for the main outs at set at 80Hz 12dB which might be more of a limitation.

If I was trying to get the best from this I would probably try a complete active crosover such as the Theomann t.racks DSP 4x4 Mini
