When I got the amp I found the 10ohm resistor feeding the ps gate driver burned open and the gate driver bad/shorted.
Replaced resistor and chip (UCC27528, afaik an acceptable sub.. original was ucc27524dsdr), still dead.
I have drive from the pic to the driver ic (or at least bursts on each side as it tries to boot), but nothing coming out of driver ic. Seems like I'm missing something silly but...
Supplies are ok at the gate driver.
5v supplies are ok at pic.
Bridges seem fine.
Ps fets and gate resistors all seem fine.
Output section seems ok.
Weird..
Amp blinks 9 times during boot fyi. Never draws more than about 200mA. I've tried 14.4 and 12.4v supply.

Crap, good catch Perry.
Yeah looks like the old part was hard set at a lower voltage and new one is a percentage of vdd. I whiffed on that one.
Thanks!

Found some parts from lcsc electronics that i hope work out.
Crazy world we're living in now trying to find parts 🙁.

Cool, she's fixed.
Current draw when amp is off seems high though. About 40mA at 14.4v, 25mA at 12v. The 12v flyback supply is on when the remote is off (amp off), is that normal? The lmr62014 chip is fairly hot, I have replaced it and same results.

Are you saying that the driver IC is producing drive pulses to the PS FETs when there is no remote voltage applied?
Hi Perry,
No, that is not trying to turn on, but it seems odd to me that this chip is consuming some power when amp is off. It's about 65C with amp off and voltage at 14.4 (which would not be realistic but anyway).
The lmr62014 chip by the green 1mH inductor.
Could be normal, the amp is working as expected.
