Sealed stereo loudspeaker box volume for VISATON BG 20

Hello,
I want to build full range stereo loudspeakers with Visaton BG20 speaker. Can you help me please what will be the good volume for the sealed cabinets?
I saw that it was given as 1,06 ft3 and 1,66 ft3 and i am confused.
Thanks a lot for your help

From that it looks like he Visaton would be maximally flat in a 70 liter box. Stuffing will add a bit to the effective volume. That's 2.4 cubic feet.
You might want to go smaller for a higher box Q. That would give you a bump up in the low end.
1 cubic foot would give you a bump in the low range, but it would not play quite as low.
1.66 ft (47 liters) gives a nice Q of 0.8 which should sound nice and clean, but not too lean.

Thank you very much for your answer. Just for confirmation, 2,4 cu-ft or 70 Lt for sealed cabinet right?

Yes, for flattest response. But I would go with 47 liters for a Q of 0.8 Smaller box size and there is only a 1.5dB bump, which will sound nice anyway.
A 2.4 foot box seems too much for an 8" driver.
Next you have to look into Baffle Step Correction. 🙂

Many thanks for your comments. Ok. I will go with 47 Lt.
Last question: Does it give normal bass or better to add a 10-12''supplementary bass unit in this cabinet?
I don't listen disco 🙂 listen jazz, blues, rock,...
Thank you again

It's an 8" fullrange, so will have decent bass. It won't play the lowest of the lows, or thump real hard, but it should still sound rich. Try it in ~47 liters with medium stuffing and hear if it suits you. You can always add a sub or two later if you need more bass oomph. FWIW, I've used 8 and 6.5 inch fullrange in transmission line enclosures and been very happy with them. They always got positive comments.
