Upon further investigation I think the problem is in the ps. It turns on and plays fine at 13.9v but at 14.4 the transformers make an awful squelch and the Amp goes from idling at 1.7a to 1.2a when this happens. Any ideas? Also the ps wave looks pretty bad when this happens. I've included a before and after pics.

It looks like the target rail voltage has been reached and the duty cycle has been rolled back to prevent the rail voltage from going any higher.
Yes.
If you lower the 12v supply voltage to about 11v, then slowly increase it while watching the rail voltage as well as the signal on the PS FETs, you'll see that, when the FET waveform starts to change, the rail voltage stops increasing.

Yes. For my curiosity, what's the DCV on the pins 15 and 16 of US1 when the amp starts to regulate the voltage?
Nevermind. It's on the ps cardThat's the 4060 chip, right?
Nevermind. That one is too hard to get to. Most that I've seen had both ICs on the top of a horizontal driver board. Thanks anyway.
Thanks for the help. Although u just answered a few questions for me this time, you've helped me with more amps than i can count. I know i speak for everyone on here when i say we are super greatful for all your help. The customer service that comes with the purchase of ur guide so good that sometimes its hard to believe. The fact that ur so easily accessible and respond within minutes is top notch. You will not find service like that anywhere else. Pretty incredible sir!Nevermind. That one is too hard to get to. I'm considering producing some tweaks and additions to the tutorial and may release a new version. It will likely be $25 for the updated version for those who previously purchased it.
If you have suggestions, email me. I'll add them to the list of things I already have. This applies to anyone who purchased the tutorial.
