Buzz in very low frequency sounds movies etc in one of my magneplanar 2.7qrs

I have only owned these speakers for a couple of days and i went to try them with a movie today and they started to make a buzzing noise with a car with a loud exhaust-it plays pop music etc fine, but from my very limited understanding there is a coil loose or delaminated which can be re glued with the right adhesive?

Assuming you have loose wires, that's a common problem with older Magnepans. Here are a couple pages that discuss the issue and some fixes. There are more pages and threads out there dealing with this topic, and I suggest reading several before deciding on a repair method.

If it's just a few spots at the ends that are rattling, a minimal repair is where I would start.

Magnepan sells repair kits also, but I think they assume a full rewire is going to be done. From what I've seen they are helpful/friendly.

There's also the chance that you're just asking too much of them. Until you remove the grille cloth, it may be hard to know for sure. Do you have an analog signal generator? Sweeping through the bass range with a sine wave can sometimes highlight these issues. If you can get it to buzz consistently at a lower drive level, you can sometimes localize it to a specific diaphragm area just by putting your ear close to the speaker and scanning up and down. If the noise is coming from the ends, it's likely loose wires there.
