Building a dual mono USSA amp. Should I use one soft start per side (Sjostrom) or is one sufficient?
Thanks.
Thanks.
If dual mono means you can get away with smaller transformers and less capacitance in the PSU, then perhaps you don't need a soft start circuit at all?
For what little it's worth, I built a dual monaural F6 a couple of years ago that uses just one soft start board (one of Mark's H9KPXG boards, albeit with a MS32 20008). Zen Mod cautioned me to add a fuse to each channel after the soft start board and before the transformers, which I have yet to install. That said, I've used the amp intermittently (periodically swapping it in for my F5T V3s) and have never had an issue with it. Sounds damn good.
