Head-Shell only one location pin, not two

Head-Shell only one location pin, why do they not have two pins so that the H/S pulls up evenly & this should reduce the very slight up and down play in the unit

Hi,

Jelco head shell has 2 pins. Also if I am not wrong Audiocraft head shell have 2 pins. Perhaps also others head shells.

If Jelco, Audiocraft, and possibly other mfr's headshells have 2 pins then there must be a standard for the thread pitch on the locking collar. Does anyone know what that is? With that information it would be possible to accurately diy a 2nd pin with piano wire or better yet high speed steel drill blank stock.

Hi, Thanks for that Yes, now after a little more research following your tips. jelco most but not all have two pins & so do Audiocraft, but they seem to have a uniquely non standard) two pin arrangement.
