Hello, can anyone tell me if I can use my PC as a player and a Sony NAS-E300HD Audio Shelf System as an amplifier.
The Sony has a DMPORT, is this a Digital Music Port? If it is do you know what cable I would need and where can I buy one?
Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum!
The DMPORT is a Digital Media Port.
This port was intended for use with an adaptor to connect an iPod, giving the ability to listen to audio files directly from the iPod.

The simplest way to use your PC as a player would be to connect its headphone output to the audio input of the Sony.

Thanks for your reply but there's a bay and port of the top for an ipod. I did figure it out and got it working with 4 speakers controlled through my PC. I have to say I am disappointed with the results though, the sound is crystal clear and it's more than loud enough but there's more volume coming from the 'back' speakers than the front and there's no way to adjust it.
