Out of MeanWell, Recom Power and Murata, which company makes the MOST RELIABLE AC/DC SMPS ?
Anyone had any actual experience ?
Thanks

I have several tdk lambda for several years for me and for my work without ever having a problem.
Meanwell used for many years, no issues until I tampered with it. Easily fixed, a trim pot was damaged, replaced quite cheaply.
And there was space (and tracks), so I put a parallel 20A output diode to reduce the load on the existing one, though it was a 24V 10A, the existing diode was way over rated, it was 20A too.
So now I have 40A diodes in a 10A supply!
Well made, top quality over rated parts.
Proper input protection with NTC and so on, sometimes omitted in cheaper designs.
Japanese capacitors, TI 3844 SMPS chip.
Strong thick glass epoxy PCB, world class.
The other makes I cannot say, never used them.
Here in India, reliable means Meanwell.
Full stop.
No arguments or discussion.
TDK Lambda SMPS lasted from 1993 to about 2013 in my machine, same rating, I never did get around to fix it, it needs an hour or so of work, all the caps are new, new switching transistors.
Only ground plane connection and Triac to be fitted back.
So yes, that too can be considered reliable.
My technician said don't bother, put a new Meanwell, these TDK are not reliable after repair....so I kind of lost interest in the repair.
Another deep back burner project.....
Meanwll was only about $30, so the incentive was not much...
The TDK Lambda unit had natural convection cooling, the Meanwell has a cooling fan.
Different design...
