DIY Pensil 10.2 speakers are finished! Quite a project saving the bamboo cabinets that simply didn't want to cooperate! I'll be doing a whole article on my web page soon...www.rvbprecison.com

African Mahogany with poplar highlight, I think he mentioned in the other thread. Nice save, sir.
Thanks ChrisB....Yes, it is a glue up of four strips of African Mahogany and the center strip is Poplar. This glue up is 3/4" thick, it is then glued and screwed to a 1/2" piece of bamboo plywood. The walls are 1/2" bamboo plywood with 1/4" MDF glued with a resilient adhesive of about 1/16" thick.......They are TOTALLY non resonant.....(Well, there isn't anything that is TOTALLY non resonant!).......But they are VERY solid.....I'm pleased with the total outcome....

As you might be able to see in the above photo, the center strip of poplar is missing. Well, my calculations were a bit messed up. After edge planning the pieces for this glue up, I found I was about 1/4" too narrow for the existing cabinet, once I added the MDF and the 1/16" of resilient material. And I was out of the African Mahogany.......Over in the corner of the shop was that piece pf poplar......... Rip the panel down the middle and add it...BOOM! Done!. 🙂

Comparable.....A bit deeper bass and they don't image quite as well. But not too far apart.Pretty. How do they compare to the LS50?
Give them some time. In particular the top end should smooth out, and the mid gets a bit more DDR. 200-500 hrs.
Actually 99% is done after 100h, but it keeps improving to about what Dave said. But after 100h you can measure more or less what it is, and the difference after 500h will be very minimal compared to 100h.
