I have a Rogue Model 88 Magnum where I tried to repair and ruined the circuit board. I had this amp for a long time and had several problems over the years so instead of trying to sell it as is, I decides to tear it down and part with the parts. I have three transformers, eight gold plated tube sockets and various capacitor, resistors and such. I'm not trying to make any money off my FU but can't bring myself to just throw this stuff in the trash.
Any suggestions? Sell? Keep and build another amp using the parts? I'd appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks

I would sell the whole thing as-is, on ebay or on diyAudio. Because of weight, it's best to sell it locally.
Just say that the board is bad, but chassis and transformers are good.

Transformers aren't getting cheaper..... so unless you know you are never going to build an amp from them, or you want the money, or you have some other reason for getting them out of your hair, I would hold on to them. There are probably good power supply caps in there too, and with those and the valves you are a long way down the road to a new build.
I have a some soldering ability and an OK solder station. I once built a Hagerman Piccolo phono step up device from a kit and it came out swell. I really don't know where to start in the tube amp building game but I am not opposed to trying.Transformers aren't getting cheaper..... so unless you know you are never going to build an amp from them, or you want the money, or you have some other reason for getting them out of your hair, I would hold on to them. If anyone has any suggestions or could point to some threads to get me started that would be great. The OP was my first post on this forum and haven't done much research for doing a build as I thought I would just get rid of it. But maybe I will keep the option of a build open now.
OK.
The thing that you gotta watch with tube audio is that there are lethal voltages, so I am conflicted in issuing any encouragement to someone with no high voltage experience to build one. If you have a look at the build videos on youtube by @stephe (skunkie designs https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC3tTF80zeW_HDmfsLt-u-8Q) you'll get an idea.

I'm aware of the lethal voltages involved. I'm looking for a use for mainly the transformers and some of the better parts in the unit. If not, I'm just going to have to toss the whole thing in the trash as it's taking up room I could use. The chances of selling the unit "as is" locally is probably is pretty slim. I'm still trying to sell a pair of PBN DP speakers for $600 negotiable and haven't gotten one bite.
Speakers are speakers. Mass produced, lots to choose from, big ones at a disadvantage to smaller ones.
Tube hifi is always in demand to somebody, even if it is just for the transformers. Where are you based?
