Hi Folks.
I just came across a very good condition pair of these ($130). I'm wondering if anyone has heard them. Little to no info out there on them.

Looks like a competitor to boxes like the Yamaha NS-690.
What do they sound like? How well built is the cabinet?

No idea what they sound like. No chance to hear. That's what I'm wondering if anyone has heard them, Dave...
Cabinets seem like the usual mdf with veneer. Actually, on closer inspection, it looks to be hdf, thats good. Don't know whats inside, bracing etc...
I'm not any kind of expert here, Lojzek, why would a redesign of x/o be beneficial?
They look pretty mint, decisions, decisions...
Thx for the responses guys.

Don't ask me, I'm a Borg echoing what collective tells me to. All crossovers need to be modifed. Resistance is futile.
We want spare parts sold in as large quantities as possible and everybody in business taken care of. Nobody cares about truth, unless linked directly with their income/satisfaction.
My ruling is this. There is a 90 percent probability that you will be very satisfied with this potential acquisition, assuming woofer suspension has not degraded and all parts being in a state as when these left factory. And try to keep them closer to walls/corners.

I too believe I will be quite satisfied with said speakers. Just found a pair at Canuck Audio Mart went for $350 :0 !!!
Ahhh yes, I understand fully the need to armchair the original designers..... I am prepared to replace x/o components if need be.

The cone uses a blend of several pulp materials according to the Coral's original manufacturing method, the edge has high compliance, a roll edge that exhibits excellent linearity even when the cone paper has a large amplitude, and the magnet adopts a ferrite magnet doing. surrounding is made out of cloth.
The midrange is equipped with a 6 cm hard dome shaped speaker. Mg-Cu attached super hard light alloy diaphragm which Coral developed originally and realize broadband reproduction.
