I am currently using the Berhinger to manage a two sub system (Infinite Baffle) and was hoping to get some opinions from users who have experience with both of these processors. I plan to ad two more subs in a swarm configuration.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Some experience with the dcx2496 (unmodded), in analog-digital-analog mode, happy with it for (2) subwoofer duties only. Planning to add a couple more subs down the line, so interested in this thread as I am in a similar position of yours..
AFAIK the behringer has the edge on group delay (1msec vs xx?msec), optimal volume ratio is not easy to get (I would probably need to add a volume control before its input for optimal noise to signal ratio in my analog to digital mode), soundwise not sure what the differences are (read somewhere the minidsp could be better here.. not sure after dcx2496 mods though).

For subs the standard version should do. It’s quite good for fullrange applications, be it limited in digital noise floor and bandwidth.
I have read good things about these T.Racks DSP processors

It took me waaay to long to figure this out. I'm using a Rolls Promatch and use it more than the volume on my preamp... especially for dialing in low volume bass.
Although having a cheapo piece of pro kit with cheapo power supply in the chain is less than optimal. If i decide the Berhinger is the way to go, I may have the Berhinger modded and volume added.... maybe even remote controlled. Talk about living your best life!

Maybe it's the 'swarm' bit that people don't recognise ? (I've been on this forum for ~20 years and have read loads about the JBL/Harman multi sub papers and the Geddes stuff but not really encountered 'swarm' subwoofers)
Maybe I'm getting too old for new stuff 🙂

You're in the playground with Geddes.Maybe it's the 'swarm' bit that people don't recognise ? (I've been on this forum for ~20 years and have read loads about the JBL/Harman multi sub papers and the Geddes stuff but not really encountered 'swarm' subwoofers)
