Hi folks,
First time post.
I have two sets of bose companion 3 on my desk, they have been flawless till now.
One of them now has a scratchy crackle which sounds a little like overpushed input but is there at all volumes of input and volume. Swapped out speakers and inputs but is always there with the one amp/bin.
I’m reasonably handy with tools and hoping someone can point me in te right direction as to what this might be.
Thanks for reading.
Dave.

Welcome to the forum, Dave!
I'll give your thread a nudge by attaching an image of the Bose Companion 3 (I presume yours are not series II).
I'm not clear on exactly where the "crackle" coming from - are you saying it confined to the main unit and not coming from the satellites?
There's lots to go wrong in a system like this, which may make it difficult to troubleshoot the problem from a distance.

Thanks Galu,
I will try to get an audio recording of the noise.
They are companion 3 series 2, picture attached.
When I swap the satellites from the other amp/sub the noise is still there so it must be the amplifier causing the scratch.
Apologies for the bad explaination.
