Kicker ZX350.4

Output Tip36 BJT blown, PS FETs IRFZ44 shorted. 147ohm gate resistors with 2n4401/4403 drivers.

Does anyone know the value of R73? Connects between amp B- and secondary ground. I think its a 10 ohm but not totally sure. Thank you. Would this indicate a shorted transformer by chance?

147 ohms or 150 ohms?

The resistor between the primary and secondary grounds could be due to a shorted transformer or from a speaker output shorting to ground.

If the resistor burned, the shield on the head unit may have opened as well.

If you connect your meter between the secondary ground and the B+ terminal and twist/push/pull on the transformer, do you ever read 0 ohms?

I believe the transformer is fine. I serviced the ps and audio circuits and the amp is working fine now. Flexing transformer doesn’t change amperage draw or short.

A trace did burn under the board for r73 to primary ground but fixed that as well. I used a 10 ohm 1w resistor for r73. My guess since a channel was blown that channel may have been grounded.
