Hi all,
Sourced a UK model which has 220v and 240v operation. For it to work in US I used a step down convertor of 110v. Looking at schematics am confused and wondering if this would be as easy as rewiring or not. The transformer part is the same but I see the switch is different. Any guidance if I can wire it to 110v. The relavant part of the schematics is atached

possibly the re-wiring for 120V could be performed by a competent electronics technician.
or use a transformer type step-down voltage converter, typically rated for 50-100 watts. Do not use the high power one designed for hair dryers, etc.

looking at the schematic again, if there isn't a 120v setting on the voltage selector (but 220 vs 240 selections only) then best to use external step down transformer.
That would be a step up transformer when using a 230V device on 115V. At least when one wants to feed a 230V device 230V from a 115V mains voltage. When I would buy a 115V mains voltage device I would need a step down transformer when using the device on 230V mains voltage.
I think the switch is not your problem. Please check the ratings as written on it. It has just a different PCB when used with the 3 wire primaries EU transformer but please check the ratings. OK, when that issue is eliminated there is the transformer itself. It either has 115/230V windings or it hasn't.
Just found out the EU version has only 220/240V selection so 110/115V is not selectable and the transformer has no 115V winding. Then the most elegant solution is to find a US transformer for the CD94. Or accept the step up transformer. See it as a curse for not buying local 🙂

@jean-paul I stand corrected, a step UP transformer to run off 120V mains and deliver 240V to the device.

Wadia WT3200 just the same too, except the transformer is a toroidal on the wadia. I’ve got 2 of them and they can be operated at both voltages. I don’t have the schematics for the wadia but can send pictures.
