Hi all,
Would anyone have a spare set of mini-aleph boards knocking around in a drawer unused? If you have the BrianGT/chipamp.com ones from years back, even better! and to top off the wishlist, if you also have a PSU board for it, then even better again!
If you're in the EU then even better but I'll take what I can get.
Lastly, if these are not available and Gerbers are available (I did look but without finding any) I'm happy to get some printed and could share them, but obviously protecting IP rights.

Mini-A is likely the BEST amp project ever on this forum. I built 2 Aleph30's using BrianGT's Mini-A boards. These were so flexible to make nearly any power rating from 10 watt to 100.
Hope you find a pair. The blue BrianGT boards or the Peter Daniel black boards were great.

Fran - if you end up empty handed, see my Classic Aleph for UMS group buy thread. You could make up to 4 parirs of MOSFETs on a board, and add an expansion board, too. Mini A, A30, A60, A5, A2, A10000000 - it's up to you.. GB#1 just ended and is "sold out", but I'm up for GB#2 if there's interest.
I have a couple sets of BrianGT boards. What is the most powerful amp you can make with the boards plus an extra set of output boards? 12 devices per channel.
My story here in looking for these is that I built a mini-A with 12V transformer years back, but it always sounded a bit grainy or etched. Well, in recent times I pulled it out of storage, and powered up, and with test equipment was able to see some rinigng on a square wave. I don't know if this was my build, or combination of voltage and bias etc, but I ended up adjusting bias a bit, and putting in an 18 transformer instead. Ringing was gone and the sound was much improved. The amp sounds really lovely.
So this got my taste buds going for a higher powered version. I have most of what was needed to build one up, and hence I went looking for boards. I couldn't find any mini-A type ones knocking about, nor Gerbers either. So then I thought that there must be some knocking about in someone's spares drawer and I asked.
Very luckily I have a set in the works, and I might even just go for a second set to have one spare - I suspect a few friends will want one when they hear this one running.
A great project, sounds better than my F5 tbh (and it didn't when I first built it ~10 years ago).
