Do you think the 6L6GC specs should be used as a guide?You can pretty much use them like a 6L6 or 5881. Specs are same as 6AR6, which is very similar to 6L6. They're a gorgeous-sounding tube--silky smooth and rich in tone. You could sell them but I personally would keep them and build a nice PP stereo amp. They last forever.
Pretty much. You might need a bit more grid bias, you'll have to experiment a bit to find the right current setting.
The dealers are asking ~$100 per tube! But if you decide to keep them I’d watch the screen voltage and dissipation carefully if used in a circuit designed for 6L6Gc; according to the specs the 6384’s screen is more fragile (lower max voltage and dissipation) than the screen of a 6L6GC.
