Cool. I enjoy reading radio magazines from the 20's 30's 40's when many built their own radios. When television came along they published articles for building televisions, parts, etc. or sellers of chassis-only sets where you made your own cabinet!
Thanks to all anwers. I am now working in a FM tuner based on ECC88 cascode and ECF801 oscillator mixer, tuned by permeabilty slicing copper tubbing inside the coils. Some stuff there were of valuable info.
