Anyone know of a good source for inexpensive aluminum plate and sheet in Toronto or the GTA?
I'm looking for 1/4" or 3/8" plate for faceplates, 1/8" sheet, and perforated sheet. The retailers I've found online are very expensive. For example, unfinished strip cuts of 3/8" plate are priced the same per length/width as what the DAStore and Modushop charge for finished face plates. I'd go the latter route, but I'm looking to build some enclosures in non-standard sizes and formats.

I happened to come across this vender on ebay lately, a shop at Tweed, ON called Dexta. I had two sets of small front and rear panels cnc cut for my DAC project, 1/4" and 3/16" thickness, 260mm x 56mm. Machining involved are bunch of simple circular holes and rectangular cutout, a few counterbored holes, and a pocketed area. Total 4 pieces at 135CAD all in. Probably not particularly inexpensive?
Many thanks to both of you. That Dexta price does some pretty reasonable for 4 machined pieces. I may go that route if I can't find unfinished material for a good price.
