There is no any inductor on A12PW, natural roll off. What is your proposal regarding 1st order high pass filter, between 5 and 10 kHz
You are going to have to play. I suspect that the combing issues were what moved the builder to try an upward filter where you get HF splash to brighten thhings up but interferes little with what you here directly.
Nominal 8Ω start with 2-4µF (10-5kHz). Top of the A12pw goes to about 10k on axis, less off-axis.
