Good day bros. Just want to ask your experience anyone here are ordering components especially SMD's from AliExpress China. Are they legit, and reliable parts? They seem to be cheap but I am not sure if I can rely on there functionality . Thanks a lot for your info.
In the past I had sometimes.
It resulted in that some items were not fully 100% good working when installing new parts.
Sometimes I had to change 2 or 3 times before a good item was placed.
I would absolutely not recommend aliexpress components in amplifiers for a customer.

If you want reliable, trustworthy parts, buy them only from an electronics vendor that you trust.
This does not include aliexpress. Many complain about defective or fake parts sold through them.
If you absolutely must use them, test all parts before use.
You can buy a large "book" of smt resistors for a reasonable price, and have stock of many values.

thanks bros, I believe so. I was wondering in my repairs , specially the drive chips. It was working usually in my first install but after further testing, i don't get the output drive signals any more. After which even replacing them again, I don't get the signals anymore. Maybe you are correct, after how many replacement then i can get the chips that is fully working.
While resistors may be OK, you can be sure that you will find a lot of counterfeit semiconductors on amazon and ebay.
Yes you might be correct bro. The resistors i had been using from Ali express are all fine, i believe capacitors as well but with SMD chips and transistors i begin to doubt as i go further in my adventure of repairing audio amps. But for me as a beginner its very discouraging sometimes that you are doing the right replacement and repairs of course with your help here in the forum and then the amp does not work which did work on other amps and finding out that I used parts from my local component parts dealer here in Dubai eventhough a little expensive. And so i begin to doubt these components from Aliexpress. Anyway bros, as sharing my experience only, thank you for the enlightenment and I hope you will be with me in my further adventure of not so easy repairing of Audio amps. More power.
I don't know if octopart.com gives distributors in Dubai but you should try it. The 'authorized' distributors should be reliable.
Some of the ICs, especially drivers like the IRS21844, can be easily damaged by heat when installing them. You have to be careful to make the solder connections without heating the IC excessively.

Yap, I believe so. The last time I had installed IRS21844s, it was working the first time then after some test the signal drives went off, then I installed 2 times but did not get the output drive working anymore, I might have been lucky the first time i installed was a good one. These chips came from Aliexpress. I will check Octopart.com they might have distributor here in Dubai.
