If the bottom is vented, rubber feet should be fine. If the bottom isn't vented, I wouldn't think any clearance is needed.
Some small ventilation slots on the bottom. I might go with channel and some perforated sheet.
I'm too scared to drill holes in the base to screw on feet and the stick on ones simply do not last.

Sorted then I'll buy a couple of those bracket strips from the local hardware and screw them to the base.
