Hey guys, I need a favor if someone is willing. I have these parts and I think they are suspect, I got them some time ago from a vendor I have had luck with in the past, but I have limited curve tracing available to me. I have a total of 8 parts that I'd like to get tested.

I would be happy to pay if someone has a curve tracer capable of checking them out and matching.

Anyone testing these should be mindful of the low power dissipation of the device -- 1.75W. You can test them as demonstrated by Nelson.

btw, a Peak DCA75 is a very handy device -- at least for low current devices.

I have that device, it's good for low poweer stuff not so much for these.

I just tried to "curve trace" these on the TEK 576 in the low power mode -- a la the datasheet parameters. (I think they were used in a 1980's Audio Amateur amplifier design). Not workin' for me.

you can use the same method to trace these VFETS - safely
I had tried the same method on THF 51 successfully

I'm sorry, was thinking of the 2SJ76 -- the little driver MOSFET used in a couple of Audio Amateur articles decades ago. My error.
