can somone help me with a kenwood5700.. when power is pressed the outputs on both sides will get very hot until the powersupply fuses will blow,, what mite be the cause ??... the amp has no sound
Rather risk doing further damage suggest build a "dim bulb tester", google for plans. It's simply an incandescent bulb in series with the mains supply, it acts as a current limiting device.
Next step would be to diode test transistors in the power amp stage, again google for "how to". Visually inspect the power amp stage for charred/heat stressed components, eg, discoloured resistors, post pix of candidates. Let us know the results.
