Hi Folks,
I picked up this amp yesterday, sold to me untested for $60 AUD / $43 US. A bargain I feel even if it's sick.
I want to check it over before I connect it to anything, but I'm having trouble finding a service manual or even schematic.
Reaching out if anyone can help.
Much appreciated and cheers.

Hi quasi,
This amplifier has all the earmarks of an orphan product.
The best way to go about it would be to check the basics to see if it is functional at all. From there you can determine what general format the output stage and input stages are in. The manual already gives you many hints that it is a class G or H type power amp. So you know you have switched power supplies to start with.
I looked at the wayback machine archive and found this Apart Audio – Sounds like the right choice which lists the designer's name and a lot of other information. You can explore the archived sites and maybe get a contact from there.
-Best, Chris

Thanks Chris,
I'll run the basics this weekend as you suggest. Being stereo I can compare voltages in the usual places - hopefully one of the channels is perfect. It does have few ancillary circuits (features) that might add some complexity.
I also found that Apart was bought out by a company called BiAmp so I'll send them an email - never know.
Cheers

I recognize BiAmp. Hopefully they have the records for the original equipment.
Very odd that BiAmp didn't retain the name of the product since they bought it. In any event, I am wishing you good luck with this one. I know you can figure it out even without external help.
