Hey Ben thanks for writing this up. I have a Hafler 9505 that has a loud thump at power off. The woofer cones look like they're trying to jump out of both speakers. Did the amp you worked on have surface mount transistors or was it an older model? The one I have has surface mounted components and I don't even know how I'd go about de-soldering the transistors to test them.
