Hi, I'm searching to build a new project with a 6V6s jj tube. My question is if I can get 8/9w in single ended power amp.
Anyone has already build a simil project?

You can squeeze approx. 5 W. out of a full pentode mode Class "A" 6V6. A 6V6 has a 12 W. plate dissipation limit. The Laws of Physics limit Class "A" to a max. 50% efficiency and less is always observed in the real world.

For more power than the 5 W. obtainable from 6V6s, I suggest you look at the Russian 6Π3C-E (6p3s-e), which is a nice 5881 "equivalent".

Hi Eli, thanks for quick reply, I see the datasheet of 6v6s is incomplete( pentode mode) is not present, so I will take in consideration your suggestion for a 5881 or 6p3s

Or I could use 2 6v6s in parallel and an Output trafo of 2.5k

6v6s jj triode curve is very close to 6v6gt ge, so it would be close in Pentode curve too, I actually have painted it.
