Finished my Grilles...What a mission..

I think they look OK. The Faux Ali frames do show through a little.. Over all I am pleased...

Sideways pictures , I'm sorry.. They open the right way up at my end...

Pics open the right way for me too.

Um, looking at those speakers, I don't believe the grills were the hard part.

Thank-you for all the kind words gentlemen. @ UserAbuser thanks for the heads up on the pictures. But they were tricky, granted not as tricky as some of the build but tricky and time consuming none the less. the bass sections are 5/16 thick and the uppers only 1/4, beveled inside and outside. I could post a pic of my cockup pile, but I wont...🙂

Did you weld straight aluminium flat sections into a frame?

No, Its laminated MDF 2 x 3 mm uppers 3 and 6mm lowers. four hard layers you see, MDF is stronger that way..Just painted with ali paint... Fiddly...🙂Just enough sheer in the cloth for the frames to show thru.. Might not be everyone's cup of tea but I quite like it and it has significant SAF...🙂

Maybe I should clear up the use of the acronym SAF. It is by far the largest compromise that most have to accept in their own quest for audio nirvana, sometimes called WAF depending on your marital status. For example, if I put these behemoths where they sounded best I would have no SAF at all. That is a can of worms I would prefer the lid stayed on..🙂. I am sure others will back me up on this...🙄
