I purchased 2 Stereo Integrity SQL-12s & I'm awaiting their arrival. I was planning to try them in a 3 Chamber Single Reflex Bandpass enclosure with both sealed chambers @ 1 cuft each & 4 cuft for the ported chamber. I've been told to tune between 45 - 55 Hz. I'm using a round port as well. WinISD gives some funky results using 2:1 ported/sealed ratio. Can anyone check & post their findings using this ratio in this type of enclosure? If needed, I currently have 2300 watts RMS I can supply them with.
Ratio Changes depending on the driver.
I really don't see the benefit of a bandpass for this driver.
It has a Fs of 27 Hz
Which is a rather healthy
Why you would ruin that by tuning it to 45 Hz beats me.
This driver does very well in
1.3 cubic feet tuned to 26 Hz
in a very normal straight forward reflex box
F3 response is around 23 Hz
So mechanically the speaker goes incredibly low in a very small box.
The trade off is obvious
To get a speaker to be able to do this mechanically the Sensitivity would suffer
Which explains why the sensitivity is incredible low for this driver
83 dB
I would just use normal reflex cabinet
your main concern is having enough amplifier power
since the sensitivity seems somewhat poor.
Good news is the frequency response is impressive for such a small box
