Hello All I have a RCA WV-98C That I have been tinkering with for quiet awhile now and I was wondering is there a solid-state meter than can test out beyond 50megs like this vtvm can.
I think this old rca is suffering from a weak meter movement and I am wanting to move on to something new that will give me less trouble.

Not difficult or expensive: I have had a cheap and expendable Chinese multimeter for 20years, and it has a 200Megohm range (digital).Hello All I have a RCA WV-98C That I have been tinkering with for quiet awhile now and I was wondering is there a solid-state meter than can test out beyond 50megs like this vtvm can.
I can post a pic if you want, but chances you find the same are slim.
There must be similar instruments available today, at an even cheaper cost
What voltage range are you aiming for? Vintage lab meters like my Keithley 197 have >1Gohm, but only up to 2Vdc FS, whereas the DVM in the HP3497A is >10Gohm up to 12Vdc FS.
