Hello Everyone
I’m joining for the first time and have no clue how forums work (be gentle)
I’m building 2 ACA 1.8 amps and I’m curious if anyone has put a computer fan inside one to keep them from burning down my house. Or is that just crazy thinking
I’ve seen some dinky 24v fans that would work but don’t known about the downsides. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

1. It's not hot actually if its located right for proper cooling. You should be able to pick it up by the heatsinks and hold it - if you are setup for air cooling.
1. No Fan is required.
2. The rubber feet that you put into the bottom chassis plate are necessary. They add half-and inch of space between bottom plate and its site - this permits fresh air flowing into the fins from the bottom.
3. It cools by convection. Make sure the hot air above the amp has a path to the ceiling. It can only cool if the convective airflow entering, and leaving, is slowed down. Otherwise, you can pick the amp up and hold it.
