Want to buy a 4 deck, 20k to 50k stepped potentiometer for balanced solid-state preamp.
Thanks,

If you go with a switched resistor control, there should be many options.
However, if you use a balanced version of the shunt volume control,
you only need two switch decks, one per channel. This would consist of:
a series, fixed R in each line, and a single shunt variable resistor between their outputs.

For balanced preamp, or any preamp for that matter is to have to volume control. Simply adjust them to fit the balance. Some very expensive preamp use this way. Big advantage is there is no impact on any interchannel crossover that normally is caused by a balance control, that in turn impact stereo imaging...

I think he means fully differential with balance preamp.
Blue Alps RK27 is available as four channel version, as well the more expensive TKD 4CP2500
There are a lot of other 4 channel volume controls on the market. From very cheap to very expensive.
If I’m wrong with my assumption for what you are really searching for, please apologize.

Hi Vince
They are great, I’m using them myself in a balanced configuration. Their module was my first muses volume control it runs 24/7 in a balanced passive volume control.
diyaudio member meldano offers also great pcb’s four the newest muses chip.

I think it's a good deal considering a DACT balanced pot costs $479 and a series balanced Gold Point is around $279. I'm just concerned about the sound quality of the Muse. Hope it's not parts overkill with bad sound.
You know, too complicated for it's own good...
