Circuit breaker sizing for aleph2

Hello

I am building aleph 2 with 1.2kVA tranny and plan to use circuit breaker instead of fuse at the transformer primary. The primary size will be 220V .

Can I use the 5A circuit breaker? Since, it is a bit smaller capacity than the transformer, but consider the aleph 2 design, the power consumption is just only 300W

Any suggestions?

you can always use smaller fuse than maximal proper value

under condition that you keep powering On surge low enough, so no tripping of breaker

what is your intention to use for Soft Start?

I plan to install the thermistor soft start with bypass relay after the breaker.
