Hello, I am having an issue with pioneer Dv300, it doesn't power on. For now I found that two diodes are faulty. The Pioneer dv 300 has got a switching power supply.
1 diode is sr290 and the other is sr240. Can I use the sr309hr0 for them?
What parameters is better that are exactly the same?
Vrrm, Vrms, Vdc must be the same?
Iav, Ifsm, Ir equal or higher?
Vf less is better?
Your help is really appreciated...

As your equipment is a DVD player an SR290 has low noise /high speed , the SR309 is not for the same power purpose , it will work but not to the same specification as the SR290.
The problem I have is that a lot of those types of very low flicker noise Schotty diodes nowadays only exist in lower current uses or SMD and not at 2 amps but are available as general purpose types .
Unless somebody here can find that low noise type of the same specification available then I suggest you fit the SR309 , its possible it will be okay but watch out for picture "noise grain " , might be okay it depends on the smoothing in the DVD.

Ok thank you, can you please give a part number for a good smd one? And can you tell me where I have to look for the noise grain? Thank you, for your help.
Sorry forgot about your question on noise grain .
In a DVD player when you play a DVD that's in good condition you look at the definition to see if you can see minute dots causing a loss of definition this is the video equivalent of audio hiss ( random noise ) it was also seen in old CRT TV,s and was called "white noise " .
Nowadays HD exists and people aren't used to seeing that now.

This is more likely ringing interference from the smps. this will depend strongly on the diode reverse capacitance
David ,the OP states in post #1 that two of the diodes are faulty = testing faulty that's the original fault not ringing .
But if you can supply a schotty diode with exactly the same specification as the original which is very low noise at 2 amps /100volts then that would help .
I cant find an exact replacement maybe you can.
