I have been restoring my Walkman D6C that i picked up at local vintage store.
However to my bad luck the record level pot is broken and only one channel is working.
Rest i restored it to full working condition.
Sony part number: 1-230-275-11
This pot was custom made by ALPS for Sony D6C.
I saw the eBay ads for RK16 50KAX2 but as per datasheet it wouldn't fit the PCB. Any leads as to anyone who has older stock of sony spare parts/repair enthusiasts.
Any input regarding this is greatly appreciated
Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately I have the same problem.Still not solved finally .I took an alps 50kOhm log Stereo pot 9mm with a housing width of about 11mm and a 6mm axle and HAVE TO MODIFY THE AXLE.
There you have to file or mill and drill to adapt this potentiometer to the original one .It also has a 1,8mm (hope this is correct)thread that has to be cut in the centre of the axle . In the photo you see the original pot on the right side ,the spare part in unprocessed condition on the left side and my first try (not working as I tried the easy way with a sheet metal screw)on top .
the unprocessed part is ALPS RK09L12B0 50KAX2 available e.g. at conrad.de

Please note: this solution is very much fine work.
You need a precise drill and stand which can handle 1mm drills and has no imbalance
I appreciate any better Idea if you have one.
