Abbott Transistor DC Converter?!?

Hello diy fellows

I have several of very solid build Abbott Transistor DC converter, filter or maybe choke. I could not find any information about this special part and also did not found something with similar specs from Abbott Transistor. Would be really great if you can help me identifying what this thing exactly is.

Here are two pictures. These are shared on my google drive as I do not know how to upload pictures directly from an iPhone.

Thanks for the information but I couldn’t find any specific docs about my unit. As input and output voltage range are same I do not know what it really is and it’s usage. As I have at least 5 pieces it would be great to know if I can use them in audio power supplies. The amp rating is about 20 amperes.

Used in audio its all down to noise & ripple from the output --when under load ,at 20 amps I don't think you will have a current supply problem its just down to the output noise .

Check the output with an oscilloscope or if not a wideband millivolt meter on the AC range .
