Hi!
I'm a newbie in Diy-Audio in Canada.
I want to make some small projects following online guidance.
Most of parts that I can buy in Mouser or Digikey Canada website, but there are not many transformers in Canada like Antek USA.
Can you recommend transformer companies and website that located in Canada?
I need some power transformers and output transformers - Regular types and custom types.
I have tried to find, but I cannot find one that has a variety of choices.
If you guys know please let me know.
Thank you.
Peter Park

Thank you for your answer.
I look for small VA toroidal type, but it is hard to find in Mouser and Digikey Canada.
And do you know companies' website to still make custom transformers for Tube amp??

I don't know if they still sell to the retail market, but Plitron and SumR Technologies (Richard Sumner's company) both produce excellent toroids and each is located in Canada.

Thank you!
Hammond is the one of the best choice, but it is a bit expensive for just fun projects, I think.
There are many good choices in Antek transformers, but last time I paid more than 60$ for import fee and UPS service.

Hammond is a quality transformer, and they made some excellent custom transformers for me. Seems to me that the import fee makes a Hammond very attractive.
Their output transformers are normally much larger (more iron = good) than others. I actually will choose Hammond over other brands for that and other reasons.

If a Hammond will meet your requirements, check:
A-1 Electronic Parts
I’ve had good experiences with these guys too.
I use A1 for all my transformers. If you live in the Toronto area, you can drop by their store to pick up your Hammond order and avoid shipping costs. They don't carry a big inventory, but he'll take an order for anything in the Hammond catalogue and order it in. He puts in an order every couple of weeks. They ship from the factory in Guelph about a 45 min drive from his store.
Also, if you like digging for buried treasure, A1 has a massive collection of used transformers. Their primary business is recycling electronics, so they pull transformers, caps and power supplies which they sell for a fraction of new costs. I have picked up several surplus and used transformers which now power my tube amps.
