Can somone/anyone answer me as to why my peavey amp ipr2 7500 is just cutting on and off on and off when i press power...... no input singal ...no output load is connected... ac line voltage is 110
Tried the section dedicated to instrument amps ?https://www.diyaudio.com/forums/instruments-and-amps/
This is not an instrument amp. there is no guitar input. There is no speaker. It is a PA amp. Moderators here seem to have never noticed that a voice or keyboard could be amplified on stage by a Peavey product. If a guitar is amplified through this amp, it has to first be amplified by an instrument amp. https://www.diyaudio.com/forums/pa-systems/
contact Peavey website for a schematic diagram. Or search the internet, many of them are uploaded already. Manualslib.com is a pay site, don't bother checking their useless service.
I suggest only very experienced repairmen take the cover off a class D switcher supply product such as this. Especially one capable of putting out 3750 W, a very dangerous voltage. Just the rectified 175 VDC at the input cap is a very dangerous point to measure. High energy capable of melting a slipped probe tip and splashing copper. Wear safety glasses & use only one hand at a time if you must open it. No jewelry on hands wrists or neck: high current through metal could burn your flesh to charcoal.
