Something Innovative & Interesting

??? so, an old phone will be permanently glued to where the tape-deck mechanism used to be..., the 3.5mm analog out from that phone will be connected to a playback amplifier after NAB, and all the commands will have to be done on the phone.

I suppose there is that visual appeal... but I am not sure if the mechanical work, guts removal, finding a phone of the appropriate dimensions, one that has 3.5mm jack, the work required for getting the connection points/levels right -> is worth it..?

Also, you get confined to the tape-deck unit that is absolutely not required.... and you can't use that phone to... 🙂.. plug its 3.5mm audio out straight to the amp.

As I said, there is that visual appeal.... I suppose...

I have. I agree that it is creative.

But, I also believe that potential buyers should understand that they'll be using a digital player, confined to a tape-deck inclosure, with added distortion and complexity, compared to just plugging that phone into an amplifier. Also, they'll lose a phone - the mobility aspect is lost (it's called a "mobile" phone for a reason).
