Hi,
I thought I would post here as I'm looking for a couple of vRegs.
One, is the LM7824CT that is questionable in a R&S UPD.
Here is a pic of the three of the vRegs with the original
on the right in red.
These other vRegs are from a kit, linked here, LINK
What do y'all think?
Some reviews aren't so hot. They may be okay for
small one off projects, etc. But a Rohde & Schwarz,
UPD is high end and I'm sure their vRegs were Qualified.

I would prefer components from a trusted source; Mouser, RS, Farnell etc.
At least I can be confident they are what they are, made by a known source and by the look of it, similar price.

The markings on those ST chips look highly suspect. Don't take the risk when you can get known genuine parts cheap enough from a major supplier like Mouser or Digikey
Thanks Gentlemen,
I was thinking that myself, but just wanted confirmation that i wasn't off base.
Cheers,

Hi Sync
The LMxxxxx are made by many Mfg. They do the same job, and may look different and always have the Mfg. logo and different code dates and assy places. This is typical on all types of components.
The parts look like ST and the one in Red looks like a National part.

Yes, even ST Micro have variations in their logo in printed or laser etched formats. I've had cause to doubt but never actually come across a fake TO220 reg with their brand on it.
