I bought this 3080 amp new when I was doing some work for NAD back in the 80's and it has served me well over the years. The bad news is that that no amount of Deoxit will revive the right channel consistently. I need a 100K Dual MN pot and all the ones available are too physically small to fit the bill. OEM # is 29-4060 but that isn't helping. I'll keep looking but thought I'd cast the net for help to folks who actually know what they're doing.

Are you talking"old school " diameter ?
I have an old NAD lying around somewhere but I doubt the potentiometer is in good shape .
When you say -quote - "they are too small to fit the bill " I take it the distance from the legs to the PCB of modern ones leave a space when fitted ?
Why not just add extension wires onto the tabs of the new one , they can be rigid wire to make it look better ?
If its for yourself then you wont be worrying in case somebody looks inside---will you ?

Thanks for the reply, I've decided to do just that; extend the wires as I can't seem to find what I'm looking for. Back in the day I could usually scrounge up some solution but all the old shops are gone. What made the whole thing worse was that they built the amp around the balance pot, it's a tight fit!
Thanks again

I'm sure no one really gives a rat's but I did mount a physically smaller pot with great results but it was a pretty fiddly job. In the end it really doesn't look like a dog's breakfast either. Next job is the volume pot; also not available but much easier to access. In the meantime it sounds better than ever.
