I fear that you are very mistaken and need to do some research as you can find sold items there at $60 each for used.
Really, you can't. At £100 for a quad these are a decent deal, irreplaceable quality valves now.
Ebay listing are weird, I sold a quad of Mullard tested ECC83's and got about £20,but saw a very similar quad go for over £100. After looking at quite a few listings I came to the conclusion it's the description and listing title that dictates the price.
If you chuck in a few tasty phrase like "long plate" "made in Blackburn" "looks sexy in a little black dress and heels" etc, your Mullard valves will probably sell for four times as much.

What is it with the Brits piling on the utter rubbish here? Mullards for free, why, it's all the rage! Greedy bloke isn't giving them away when I find them laying around on the street. Mullard ECC83s for nothing! What an utter load of bollocks! Poor old blighters are still kicking themselves for letting theirs go for peanuts back in the old days.
This is the FB I received, you calling me a liar? Go look at completed listings for October/November last year on Ebay UK. while I'm at it I sold two Siemans E88Cc gold pins,sold for £16.51 and one Mullard ECC88 for £5. I don't like being called a liar, I have proof.
And just for calling me a liar I'll sell anyone four ECC88's for £20, tested. Here's two good English fingers bonzo.

Ebay USA sold prices currently average $60 per tube, I'm not in the UK. I like your prices a lot but would have to buy quantitities to offset the postage.
